Hydraulic works

According to section 122, Spanish Water Act, "hydraulic work" is defined as "the construction of real property items used for taking, extracting, desalinating, storing, regulating, transporting, controlling and using water, as well as for sanitation, wastewater treatment, water treatment and reuse purposes, and those intended for aquifer artificial recharge, riverbed works, current flow correction, freshet prevention, as in dams, reservoirs, irrigation ditches, weirs, conduction channels, deposits to supply population, desalination, uptake and pumping facilities, sewer systems, rainwater and wastewater collection tanks, sanitation, wastewater and water treatment facilities, count stations, piezometres, quality control networks, dams and freshet channelling and protection works, as well as all actions required to protect the hydraulic public domain"
