Having good economic results is necessary, but not enough

INCLAM joins Global Compact
> The United Nations Corporate Sustainability initiative

A couple of months ago, we received the United Nations (UN) official communication confirming that INCLAM GROUP is now part of Global Compact, the world´s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Global Compact is an international initiative that seeks the commitment of companies around the world, to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals.
In addition, Global Compact seeks to impulse business as a force of good, taking shared responsibility for achieving a better world, and taking strategic actions to advance on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), so we can achieve the 17 goals and the 169 targets by 2030.
It is an honor for INCLAM GROUP to be part of this large initiative that includes over 13,000 organizations from 160 countries, all supported by their CEOs. We all share the same vision and commitment to be sustainable companies and contribute to build the world we all want.

To be a signatory company of the Global Compact initiative is a mild stone for INCLAM GROUP, because it means that we are publicly ratifying our commitment with an ethic and responsible culture and our commitment consolidate our sustainable practices globally.
As members of Global Compact, we are committed to operate under a continuous improvement approach, incorporating economic, social, and environmental aspects in our strategic and day-to-day decisions. It also means that we are committed to respect and promote the 10 universal principles, and to keep actively working to achieve the 17 SDG.

As a specialized business group in water and climate change, our operations have a positive impact on the SDG, since water is a transversal vector for development. However, for the sake of focusing our efforts, we have assumed a strong commitment particularly with objectives 3, 6 11 and 13:

• SDG3: Good health and wellbeing
• SDG6: Clean water and sanitation
• SDG11: Sustainable cities and communities
• SDG13: Climate Action

We have also assumed the commitment of annually reporting our good practices related with the 10 Principles, and our advances towards the achievement of the SDG goals and targets.

For INCLAM GROUP joining the Global Compact initiative reflects our traditional ways of doing good business, which have characterized us since the beginning of our operations. It is another example that shows two of our oldest and deepest beliefs: “ Having good economic results is necessary, but not enough”, and “We want to improve people´s live through our work”.

We are very proud to join this initiative, which will involve a strong impulse to our sustainable practices across operations around the world.
